Lemon geranium cookies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 225 g flour
  • 1 pinch of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 150 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tsp petals (scented geranium – lemon-scented pelargonium)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

Sift the flour and mix with the baking powder and salt. Then add the butter and sugar and knead well. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for one hour. The dough can be easily rolled out between cling film once it has returned to room temperature after the resting time in the refrigerator. Once the cookie dough is rolled out, cut out any shapes you like. If the cookies are roughly the same size, they will brown evenly. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the cookies on it. Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) for about 10 minutes. During baking, chop the scented geranium petals. Once the cookies are done, top them with them and press them down lightly. These aren’t just “colorful cookies,” but the aroma of the petals gives them a special flavor.
