Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 100 g sugar
- 2 lemons (or just one if needed)
- 250 g strawberries
- 1 bottle of sparkling wine
- 50 ml water

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 6 hours 20 minutes
for Easter brunch
Boil the sugar with 50 ml of water until the sugar dissolves. Grate the zest of one lemon and squeeze out 75 ml of fruit juice. Add both to the syrup and let cool. Hull and quarter the strawberries. Marinate with the syrup in the refrigerator for about 60-90 minutes. Divide among glasses and top with chilled sparkling wine. Serve immediately.
