Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg potatoes, mainly waxy
- 2 garlic cloves
- 400 ml milk, low-fat
- 2 sprigs of thyme
- Salt and pepper, black
- possibly nutmeg
- 200 ml Creme Balance or sour cream / creme fraiche
- Cheese, grated, reduced fat (17%)
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Cut the potatoes into thin slices. Bring the milk to a boil, add the thyme, salt, pepper, and garlic (finely diced or crushed). Simmer the potato slices gently in the milk for about 10 minutes. Then remove the thyme and place everything in a greased baking dish. Pour the Creme Balance over the potatoes and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake at 180-200 degrees Celsius for about 45 minutes (cover with foil if the crust gets too dark).
