Lime Cream with Mint Sugar

The perfect lime cream with mint sugar recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 4 Stems Mint
  • 4 Tbsp, heaped Sugar
  • 1 Organic lime
  • 250 g Lowfat quark
  • 250 g Sour cream or creme fraiche
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 16 Vanilla crescents
  1. Wash the mint and put some of it aside for the garnish. Pluck off the remaining leaves and crush them with 1-2 tablespoons of sugar in a mortar. Wash the lime with hot water, pat dry and rub the peel. Halve and squeeze out the juice.
  2. Mix the quark with sour cream, vanilla sugar, lime juice and zest until smooth. Season the mixture with 2-3 tablespoons of sugar.
  3. Pour the lime cream into small glasses, except for about 4 teaspoons. Halve or third each of 3 vanilla crescents and place on top, sprinkle with mint sugar. Sprinkle the rest of the cream on top and serve garnished with the rest of the croissants and mint.
  4. Tip 4: Orange biscuits can also be used instead of the vanilla biscuits. Then put 4 orange biscuits on each, sprinkle with mint sugar and put 1 orange biscuit on top.
