Liptauer cheese 'Wichtel'

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 75 g cheese (Tilsiter or Weißlacker)
  • ⅛ liter cream
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Grate the Weißlacker or Tilsiter cheese. Peel and finely chop the onion. Place the quark in a bowl. Add the butter, grated cheese, and cream. Stir vigorously until smooth. Add the mustard, onion, and paprika. Mix again, then season with salt and pepper. Cover and let stand. Serve in a bowl and sprinkle with paprika. Serve with dark bread.
