Ingredients for 18 servings:

  • 250 g sugar
  • 7 tbsp water or apple juice or other clear fruit juice
  • 1 pinch of lemon acid
  • flavoring and colorings as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Mix the sugar with water or juice and cook until it begins to brown. Then immediately remove from the heat and briefly place it in cold water to prevent it from discoloring. Stir in citric acid and, if desired, flavorings and colorings. Spoon the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and insert wooden skewers into it. Allow to set, then wrap in cellophane.
