Macaroni Casserole with Onions

The perfect macaroni casserole with onions recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Macaroni
  • Salt
  • 1 Fresh onion
  • Fat for frying
  • 60 g Grated cheese
  • 150 Milliliters Milk
  • 75 g Whipped cream
  • 60 g Grated cheese
  • Pepper
  1. Cook the macaroni al dente in boiling salted water. Drain and drain. Peel the onion and cut into thin rings. Fry until golden brown in hot fat.
  2. Mix the macaroni with the cheese and place in a greased baking dish. Bring the milk and cream to the boil. Take off the stove. Melt the cheese in it. Pour the cheese sauce over the macaroni. Season with pepper. Baked in the oven at 220 degrees for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove the casserole dish from the heat. Spread the onions on top and bake in the oven for another 5 minutes. Remove and arrange on a plate. We also had iceberg lettuce.
