Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 pork schnitzels
- 2 tbsp Italian herbs (e.g. rosemary, thyme, basil, sage), preferably freshly chopped
- 200 g Emmental cheese, grated
- 1 cup crème fraîche
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes
Place the schnitzels close together in an ungreased baking dish and sprinkle with the chopped herbs. Sprinkle with the grated cheese. Mix the crème fraîche and sour cream with tomato paste, salt, and pepper. Spread the mixture evenly over the cheese. Bake the schnitzels in the oven at 190°C (top/bottom heat) for approximately 60-70 minutes. Serve with salad and baguette.
