Mannheim May Market Cup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g strawberries
  • 2 servings of cream (Bavarian cream)
  • 1 sponge cake
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 pack of cream stiffener
  • ½ packet of vanilla sugar
  • n. B. sugar
  • e.g. chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Strawberry dessert

Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries, lightly sprinkle with sugar, and let stand briefly. Beat the cream with a mixer on high until stiff peaks, covering the bowl with a splash guard or a kitchen towel. Then stir in the cream stabilizer and vanilla sugar. Fill the cream into a piping bag. Cut four circles out of the sponge cake, using a glass or something similar. These will form the base of the May Market cup. Spread a layer of Bavarian cream (recipes can be found in the database) on each of them. Cover with the sugared strawberries and pipe a dollop of whipped cream. Decorate with chocolate sprinkles. Keep the May Market cup refrigerated until ready to serve.
