Marble cake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g sugar, fine
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 125 g margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g wheat flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 65 ml milk
  • 25 g cocoa, real
  • 100 g dark chocolate or powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

for a mini baking pan of 21 cm diameter, simply

Mix the sugar with the vanilla sugar and beat with the margarine until frothy. Now add each egg one at a time to the foam and beat until smooth. Tip: the longer you beat the batter, the finer the cake will be. Then sift the flour mixed with the baking powder onto it and slowly stir in. If the batter becomes too heavy, simply add enough milk until the batter falls off the spoon. Now mix 1/3 of the batter with the cocoa in a smaller bowl and beat until smooth. Grease the baking pan with margarine and layer the batter, starting with the light batter. The second layer is the dark batter, and lastly the light batter. Bake in a preheated oven at approx. 180°C (convection oven) on the middle rack for approx. 40 minutes. Be sure to do the wooden skewer test. A chocolate glaze made from 100g of melted dark chocolate is supposed to go on top, but unfortunately I didn’t have any on hand. In a pinch, you can also dust the cake with powdered sugar.
