Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 ml mineral water
  • 100 ml oil
  • 40 g cocoa powder
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 125 g flour
  • 150 g sugar
  • 175 g sugar
  • 175 g butter
  • 175 g flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 1 lemon(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Chocolate Lemon Cake

Preheat the oven to 175-200°C and grease a 30cm baking pan. For the chocolate batter: Mix together all of the ingredients from the chocolate batter section. Pour the batter into the greased pan and place in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes. Don’t be surprised if the pan isn’t completely filled – you’ll add a second layer of batter on top later. For the lemon batter: While the chocolate batter is in the oven, make the lemon batter. Simply mix the sugar, butter, flour, eggs, baking powder, and lemon juice into a batter. If you want a strong lemon flavor, you can also add the grated lemon zest. Pour the lemon batter onto the chocolate batter and bake in the oven for another 10 minutes. Please do the wooden skewer test.
