Marzipan, homemade

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g almonds with skin
  • 180 g powdered sugar
  • e.g. rose water,
  • n. B. syrup, (orange syrup)
  • e.g. chocolate

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

It’s not difficult at all!

I recommend buying almonds with the skin on; they are usually the best quality. To peel them, blanch them in water and let them sit for a while; the skin should then come off easily. Blanch them again if necessary. Then grind the almonds in a food processor or with a hand blender fitted with a cross blade, or chop them very finely. If necessary, loosen the almond mixture a little and then continue chopping. When the almonds form a dough, add the icing sugar and knead everything together either in the same mixer or in a bowl by hand. You can flavor the marzipan however you like, e.g. with a tablespoon of rose water (from a Turkish supermarket) and/or orange syrup. You can then shape it into pralines and dip them in melted chocolate, for example.
