Marzipan shortbread

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 200 g butter
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • ½ pack of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g marzipan – raw mass
  • ½ pack of flavoring (orange flavors)
  • 2 tbsp chocolate shavings
  • 50 g dark chocolate

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Makes about 70 orange-flavored cookies

Melt the butter in a bowl with the powdered sugar and bourbon vanilla sugar until fluffy, then stir in the flour. Halve the dough and form two approximately 25 cm long logs on two pieces of foil (e.g., cut open freezer bags). Press a hollow lengthwise into the logs using the handle of a wooden spoon. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top and bottom heat). Knead the chocolate shavings with the marzipan and orange flavoring. Form two thin logs, approximately 25 cm long. Place each marzipan log in the dough hole and seal it over the marzipan, using the foil to shape it into a square. Cut into approximately 1 cm thick slices and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake on the middle rack for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove the baked shortbread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate and drizzle it in strips over the cookies.
