Marzipan Thaler
The perfect marzipan thaler recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Marzipan paste
- 400 g Marzipan
- 1 piece Egg size M
- 75 g Sugar
- 150 g Quittengelee
- 1 Protein
Cookie dough
- 200 g Butter
- 125 g Powdered sugar
- 1 Protein
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 350 g Spelled flour
Cookie dough
- Mix 1,200g butter with icing sugar, egg white, salt and vanilla sugar until frothy.
- Finally stir in the flour.
- Put the dough in a cool place.
Marzipan paste
- In the meantime, dice the marzipan and stir together with the egg, egg white and sugar.
- Put in a piping bag with a medium-sized star nozzle.
- Roll out the dough and cut into 5 cm. cut out large rings.
- Place on a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Preheat the oven to 175 C. ( Circulating air)
- The finished cut-out rings, with the Mazipan compound, as a smooth edge, spray the dotted edge on each cookie.
- Then bake the cookies in the oven for about 10 – 12 minutes.
- Then let the cookies cool down.
- Heat the jelly and pour it into the circles of the cookies.
- Please let everything cool down well, otherwise the gelatin will start to go moldy. At least one day.
