Mashed potatoes with garlic

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g potatoes
  • ⅛ liter milk
  • salt and pepper
  • 20 g butter (or herb butter)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Cover the peeled potatoes with cold water and bring to a boil. Cook with the lid halfway on for about 15 minutes, until tender. Meanwhile, heat the milk. Once the potatoes are drained, mash them with a potato masher. Add the hot milk while stirring. The mashed potatoes should now have about the consistency of whipped cream. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic, and stir in the butter. I always use herb butter. If you want a more traditional mashed potato, just omit the garlic and use regular butter.
