Mashed Potatoes with Leek

The perfect mashed potatoes with leek recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1,5 kg Potatoes
  • 2 Rods Leek
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • 1 piece Butter
  • Milk
  • Salt, pepper from the mill
  • Nutmeg
  1. Peel the potatoes, quarter them, wash them and boil them in salted water for 20 minutes. In the meantime, clean the leek and cut into rings. Peel the onion and garlic and cut into small cubes.
  2. Steam the onion and garlic in a pan with oil until translucent. Now add the leek and season with salt, pepper from the mill and nutmeg from the mill. Steam the leek until it is done. Season to taste with salt.
  3. When the potatoes are ready, drain them. Add the milk and the piece of butter and mash the potatoes with a potato masher. Now stir in the leek and season again.
