Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 fish(s) , (matjes herring)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 5 juniper berries
  • 1 tsp dill, fresh or dried
  • 100 g cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 20 minutes

Place finely chopped herring, very finely chopped onions, mustard seeds, juniper berries, and dill in a bowl, pour over the cream, and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours. Serve with boiled potatoes.
