Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g flour
- 1 tbsp oil
- 20 g yeast
- 200 ml milk
- 5 Maultaschen
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup of sweet cream
- 2 tbsp flour
- salt and pepper
- nutmeg
- possibly chives
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Make a dough from flour, oil, yeast, 1 teaspoon of salt, and warm milk and let it rise until it has roughly doubled in size. Then roll out the dough and place it in a 28cm baking pan. Cut the Maultaschen into 1-2cm thick strips and arrange them on the dough base. Mix the eggs with the sour cream, the sweet cream, and 2 tablespoons of flour. Season the glaze with salt, pepper, and nutmeg and pour it evenly over the Maultaschen. If desired, sprinkle some chives on top. Bake at 180°C fan-assisted oven for about 45 minutes. When the cake is done, serve warm immediately; it tastes best that way. Serve with salad.
