delicious and high in calories

Wash the leek, slice into thin rings, and sauté in a little butter. Cut the ham into strips and add, then sauté. Dust the leek with flour and mix with the crème fraîche and cream. Continue sautéing until the leek is soft. Season well with salt and pepper. In a separate pan, fry the Maultaschen (sliced into strips) in a little butter until crispy and golden. Alternate layers of Maultaschen and leek mixture in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake at 180 degrees Celsius (convection oven) for about 20-30 minutes. The time depends on how you prefer your cheese crust. I prefer the cheese melted and just lightly baked, not crispy. This amount of ingredients is enough for a small baking dish. For a large one, you can double the ingredients. Serve with a refreshing green salad.
