Ingredients for 16 servings:

  • 3 eggs, of which the egg white
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs, including the yolk
  • 125 g margarine
  • 125 g sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 5 tbsp condensed milk
  • 200 g almond(s) (flakes)
  • 500 ml cream
  • 2 small can/n mandarin oranges or
  • 1 jar gooseberries or
  • 1 jar cherry(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Beat the egg whites with the sugar and vanilla sugar until stiff and set aside. Beat the egg yolks, margarine and sugar until fluffy. Add the flour, baking powder and canned milk and continue mixing. Place the batter in heaps on a greased baking sheet, smooth it out and spread the meringue over it. Sprinkle with flaked almonds. Bake for 20 minutes at 180°C. Let cool and cut into quarters. Whip 1/2 liter of cream until stiff and spread it on 2 quarters. Top the cream-covered quarters with tangerines, cherries or gooseberries (or one quarter with one variety and the other with a different variety). Place the other 2 quarters on top and cut into pieces. Done.
