Meatballs from the oven

Ingredients for 7 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat
  • 2 onions
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ tbsp garlic, from the mill
  • ½ tbsp marjoram, shredded
  • ½ tbsp thyme, shredded
  • 2 eggs
  • 7 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 bread roll, soaked
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, medium hot
  • 1 tsp nutmeg, grated
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

light and very digestible

Peel the onions and chop them into very small pieces. Place them in a large bowl with all the other ingredients. Squeeze the soaked breadcrumbs well beforehand. If you like it very spicy, you can add some hot paprika. Knead the minced meat mixture thoroughly. Preheat the oven to 200°C and prepare a lined baking sheet. Form 7 meatballs from the meat mixture and place them on the baking sheet. Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes. If you don’t like them so big, just form smaller meatballs and use two baking sheets. The meatballs will be cooked in 25 to 30 minutes. Tip: The meatballs are easy to shape with your hands dipped in cold water.
