Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced pork
  • 4 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 onion(s) (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 1 roll, soaked, possibly or breadcrumbs
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 600 g potato(s), small (krieltjes) or potato wedges

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Dutch recipe

Preheat oven to 200°C. Slice tomatoes. Knead together the minced meat, tomato ketchup, egg, and chopped onion and season well. If the minced meat mixture is still too soft, knead in some soaked bread or breadcrumbs, depending on your preference. Grease a loaf pan thoroughly and pour in the minced meat mixture. Place the tomato slices on top and press them lightly into the minced meat mixture. Place the pan in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes (the minced meat should be cooked through by then). Halfway through the baking time, you can prepare the potatoes. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the potatoes until golden brown, then season. The meatloaf is now ready; slice it and serve with the potatoes.
