Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 can of tomatoes, peeled
  • 1 tbsp cheese (Gouda), grated
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Clarified butter, olive oil
  • olive oil
  • Basil, dried
  • Thyme, dried
  • Rosemary, dried
  • 2 pork chops

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Season the chops with salt and pepper and sear them vigorously in clarified butter for 2-3 minutes on each side. Brush a baking dish with olive oil and place the chops in it. Roughly chop the peeled tomatoes, e.g., using a potato masher. Season with salt and season with basil, thyme, and rosemary. Arrange the tomatoes over the chops and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in an unheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes. Serve with raw roasted potatoes and a green or mixed salad. Serve with red wine or a pilsner.
