Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 20 g olive oil
  • 400 g tomatoes, chopped
  • 100 g tomato paste
  • 1 tsp vegetable paste or vegetable stock powder
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • 200 g cream
  • 150 g milk
  • 50 g sour cream
  • 12 balls of mini mozzarella, torn

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Knead the ground meat with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of pepper, and 1 teaspoon of paprika. Form the mixture into 12 dough balls and place them in a baking dish. Preheat oven to 180°C fan/convection oven. Meanwhile, dice the garlic and onion and sauté in olive oil. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, vegetable paste, herbs, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of pepper, and 1 teaspoon of paprika and simmer for a few minutes. Add the milk, cream, and sour cream and bring back to a boil. Pour the sauce over the balls and top with the mozzarella. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Serve with rice or a fresh baguette.
