Melted potatoes in the oven

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes, preferably floury
  • 100 g herb butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 250 ml chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Preheat the oven to 220-240°C (top/bottom heat). Melt the herb butter in a saucepan and mix with salt, pepper, and any other herbs you like. Peel the potatoes, cut them into approximately 2 cm thick slices, and then toss them in the melted butter. Place them on a prepared baking sheet. Place them in the hot oven for 15 minutes, then turn the potatoes over and return them to the oven for another 15 minutes. In the meantime, press the garlic and mix it with the chicken stock. Pour this mixture over the potatoes and return them to the oven for a final 15 minutes.
