Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 400 ml cream
  • 2 sachets of vanilla pudding powder
  • 5 tbsp rum (straw rum, 80%)
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 200 g dark chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

that’s how my mother-in-law always does it

Make a pudding from the milk, sugar, and vanilla pudding powder. Immediately after cooking, cover the pudding with cling film to prevent a skin from forming as it cools. Once the pudding has cooled, fluff it with a whisk, then stir the rum into the pudding. Grate the chocolate coating and stir it into the pudding. Finally, whip the cream until stiff and fold it into the pudding.
