Mexican corn tortillas

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 480 g corn flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 480 ml water
  • Fat for the pan

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Ideal for BBQs and parties

Bring the water and salt to a boil in a saucepan. Place the corn flour in a bowl and pour the boiling water over it. Mix until the mixture forms a firm dough. Then let the dough cool. Shape or roll out portions into small, very thin circles. Fry in a very hot, greased pan, turning once. The tortillas should be nicely browned on both sides. Stack and set aside.
