Milk-millet porridge with dates

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 ml whole milk
  • 100 ml water
  • 7 tbsp, heaped millet flakes, instant
  • 2 dates, dried, pitted
  • 2 tbsp orange juice, freshly squeezed

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 6 hours 10 minutes

Complementary food from the 7th month

Soak the dates in orange juice for a few hours. Bring the milk and water to a boil and pour into a bowl. Stir in the millet flakes and let them swell for a few minutes. Remove the skin from the dates, puree them with the orange juice, and stir them into the millet porridge. If your baby tolerates milk well, you can prepare the porridge with 200 ml of whole milk. In this case, omit the water.
