Mirabelle jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg mirabelle plums, weighed pitted
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 drops of citric acid, liquid

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Wash the mirabelle plums thoroughly, remove the stones, and puree half of them, then chop the rest. Combine the sugar, mirabelle plums, vanilla sugar, and citric acid in a large saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring. Boil gently for 4 minutes. Fill the jam jars to the brim with the hot mixture and seal immediately.
