  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 9 Confectionery , (Dominoes)
  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 50 g ground almonds
  • 2 tsp gingerbread spice, alternatively 1 pack Christmas flavor
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

  • 125 ml milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 75 g butter, melted
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

great during Advent or as a Christmas dessert, makes 18 pieces

For the coating: Mix a syrup of 2 tablespoons of hot water, 3 teaspoons of honey, and a pinch of cinnamon until it becomes slightly thick. Then set this syrup aside and let it cool. Halve the dominoes and set aside until ready to use. For the batter: Put all the batter ingredients in a bowl and mix well until smooth. Fill the muffin cases a little more than halfway, place half a domino on each one, and cover with a tablespoon of batter. Then bake the muffins in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for approx. 20-25 minutes. As soon as the muffins come out of the oven, brush them with the prepared syrup and let them cool down; this makes the muffins nice and moist. The muffins can be decorated with chocolate glaze or powdered sugar, if desired. A little tip: This also works in a mini version. The baking time is about 15 minutes and it yields about 35 muffins. If you omit the cinnamon and Christmas flavors, you’ll get moist nut muffins.
