Place the morello cherries and their liquid in a saucepan. Remove some of the liquid and stir in the custard powder. Bring the cherries to a boil and stir in the custard powder. Bring back to a boil briefly and remove from the heat. Prepare a semolina pudding according to the package instructions. First, layer the cherries, then the semolina pudding in a baking dish. Crumble the amaretti biscuits in a freezer bag (a rolling pin works really well) and sprinkle over the semolina pudding. Finally, sprinkle with a little cinnamon and brown sugar.
