Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

super fresh aperitif, something different

Peel the cucumber to create a striped pattern. Or simply leave it unpeeled and just wash it. Cut it into slices or eighths lengthwise to create sticks (approx. 8-10 cm long). Fill glasses with ice cubes, add 4 cl of vodka to each one, and top up with 200 ml of ginger ale. Add 3-4 cucumber slices (or sticks) and a slice of lime. Garnish with mint or lemon balm if desired. If you like, you can also add lime juice. This aperitif is a must at every party for us. I always set out all the ingredients afterwards so everyone can help themselves, because we usually never end up with just one per guest. I don’t make this cocktail with ginger beer like the original, because I find it too spicy and doesn’t taste as good.
