Mountain cheese meatballs

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat (beef, pork or mixed)
  • 350 g mountain cheese
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • ½ bunch parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • pepper
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs, approx.
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Finely chop the onion, coarsely grate the cheese, and knead both with the remaining ingredients into a dough. Adjust the consistency with about 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs; the dough should be easy to shape. Form about 8-10 meatballs with your hands. Fry in hot oil in a pan on both sides. Then, cover and let stand for about 10 minutes at low heat. Tip: This also works with Gouda, but mountain cheese gives a more intense flavor.
