Ingredients for 10 servings:
- 15 eggs, soft-boiled
- 1 small jar of sliced gherkins (cucumber tongues)
- 1 onion(s), red
- 1 apple, e.g. Pink Lady
- 250 g hamburger sauce, Danish
- 100 ml cream
- Black pepper, freshly ground
- Sea salt, coarse
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Finely dice the cucumber tongues. Dice the red onion to a similar size to the cucumbers. Combine both and add a little of the cucumber juice. Peel, core, and dice the apple, then stir in immediately to prevent the pieces from browning. Add the hamburger sauce and cream, stir to combine, and season with salt and pepper. Let stand for at least 30 minutes (or overnight in the refrigerator is fine), then adjust the seasoning to taste. A little more cucumber juice can also add a little extra flavor. After the stand time, peel the eggs, dice them into larger pieces, and add them to the sauce.
