Muesli bars – energy bars

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 90 g dried fruit of your choice
  • 30 g nuts
  • 1 small banana(s)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 80 g muesli (basic muesli)
  • 60 g wholemeal spelt semolina
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Blend everything together thoroughly (using a food processor if necessary). Then knead the mixture by hand until it forms a sticky, relatively firm mass. Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Place the baking paper on top and roll out with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 0.5 cm. This amount will make about half a 60 cm wide baking sheet. Cut the bars into shapes; we used approximately 3 x 3 cm squares. The number of servings depends entirely on the thickness of the rolled-out dough and the size of the bars. Bake the bars in a hot oven at 170°C (fan oven) on the middle rack for 15-20 minutes.
