Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g butter, soft
- 250 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 4 eggs
- 250 g wheat flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 125 ml mulled wine or children’s punch (depending on taste)
- 100 g dark chocolate, grated
- 200 g powdered sugar, sifted
- 3 tbsp mulled wine
- 120 g almond(s), chopped

makes about 16 pieces
First, make a batter: Beat the butter until smooth. Gradually stir in the sugar and vanilla sugar and stir until you have a nice batter. Gradually beat in the eggs. Mix the flour with the baking powder and add alternately with the mulled wine. Finally, fold in the grated chocolate. Spread the batter on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at 200°C for about 25 minutes using top/bottom heat. Allow the cake to cool slightly. For the glaze, mix the icing sugar and mulled wine together and spread on the still-warm pastry. Then sprinkle with the chopped almonds! Use a sharp knife to cut small triangles (like little nut wedges).
