Mushroom toast

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 slices of toast
  • 1 pack of mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 bunch of parsley or chives
  • 150 g cheese, grated
  • some white wine
  • salt and pepper
  • 100 g bacon, diced
  • 1 dl cream
  • Paprika powder
  • curry

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Place the slices of toast on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and drizzle with a few splashes of white wine. Peel the onions and dice them finely. Chop the parsley. Lightly fry the onions with the bacon and add the mushrooms. The mixture will now start to release some juices! Season everything well and add the chopped herbs (parsley or chives). Let it all reduce slightly. Top with the cream. Simmer gently. Then transfer everything to a cold bowl and stir in the grated cheese. Now you can spread the mixture on the toast and bake it in the oven for a while. I serve it with a leaf salad.
