Mustard – mashed potatoes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes, soft-boiled
  • butter
  • Milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 8 tbsp coarse-grained mustard (not hot)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Mustard Mash

Peel the potatoes and cut into small pieces, boil until tender. Drain the water and then mash them with a masher. While mashing, add a little salt, milk (or cream if you like it extra creamy), and a good knob of butter. The amount is up to you; it depends on how creamy you like your mashed potatoes. Finally, stir in 6-8 tablespoons of coarse-grain mustard. It tastes especially good with bratwurst, Leberkäse (meatloaf), and also with roast pork, for example.
