Mustard Steaks
The perfect mustard steaks recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 3 Neck steaks
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 tablespoon Mustard
- 3 Onions
- 2 Pickled gherkins pickled
- 125 g Sauerkraut drained fresh
- 4 tablespoon Sour cream
- 4 tablespoon Dill
- 1 tablespoon Freshly grated horseradish
- 1 teaspoon Mustard
- Wash the neck steaks – pat dry – season with salt and pepper and brush with mustard in the hot fat fry both sides – remove and keep warm.
- Peel the onions in half and cut into slices, dice the cucumber and sauté both in the roasting fat.
- Now cut the sauerkraut into small pieces, add to the onion-cucumber mixture and fill up with a little water – let it simmer
- Pour in the sour cream – stir well – but do not let it boil anymore.
- Finally stir in the dill, horseradish and mustard, season with salt and pepper
- Place the neck steaks on a plate – spread the onion sauerkraut on top and serve with the baked potatoes.
