Mustard Steaks

The perfect mustard steaks recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 Neck steaks
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Mustard
  • 3 Onions
  • 2 Pickled gherkins pickled
  • 125 g Sauerkraut drained fresh
  • 4 tablespoon Sour cream
  • 4 tablespoon Dill
  • 1 tablespoon Freshly grated horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard
  1. Wash the neck steaks – pat dry – season with salt and pepper and brush with mustard in the hot fat fry both sides – remove and keep warm.
  2. Peel the onions in half and cut into slices, dice the cucumber and sauté both in the roasting fat.
  3. Now cut the sauerkraut into small pieces, add to the onion-cucumber mixture and fill up with a little water – let it simmer
  4. Pour in the sour cream – stir well – but do not let it boil anymore.
  5. Finally stir in the dill, horseradish and mustard, season with salt and pepper
  6. Place the neck steaks on a plate – spread the onion sauerkraut on top and serve with the baked potatoes.
