  • 190 ml water, lukewarm
  • 2 tbsp oil (sunflower oil)
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 4 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 450 g flour (type 550)
  • 20 g yeast (alternatively 1 tsp dry yeast)
  • Flour for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

partly with the bread maker – enough for 8 pieces

Place the ingredients in the specified order (water, oil, honey, yogurt, salt, flour, and yeast) into the bread maker’s (BBA) baking bowl. Start the “Dough” program. Once the dough program is complete, place the dough on a floured work surface and knead for 3 minutes. Then divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll out the dough pieces with a lightly floured rolling pin to about 1/2 cm thick. Place the naan breads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, 4 loaves per sheet. Cover with a damp kitchen towel and let rise for about 20 minutes. Preheat the grill to the highest temperature setting. Remove the kitchen towel and grill each loaf for 2 to 3 minutes, until golden brown spots appear on the surface. Then turn the flatbread over and grill briefly. Serve immediately.
