In some cases, you can fix the error yourself with a few simple tricks:

• First of all, check whether there is enough water in the tank and whether the mains plug is plugged in correctly.
• Also, open the spout properly so the water can flow through.
• Check if the Nespresso machine indicates that you need to add water when the tank is empty. If not, there is air in the hoses.
• Many Nespresso machines can self-vent the system to allow the air to escape.
• If this is not the case, you can lift the tank and carefully insert a thin wire into the hose.
• Alternatively, you can try to get the air out by suctioning it with a disposable syringe. Also, injecting water might help purge the air from the hose.
