Nougat rings

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 125 g butter, soft
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 g hazelnuts, peeled
  • 200 g nougat (nut nougat)
  • 250 g chocolate coating (whole milk)
  • Flour for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

enough for approx. 25 pieces

Mix flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, butter, and the egg into a dough. Form into a ball, wrap in foil, and let rest in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, roughly chop the hazelnuts and roast them in a dry pan (this intensifies the nutty flavor). Roll out the chilled shortcrust pastry thinly on a floured surface and cut out rings (preferably using glasses). Place the rings on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan oven: 175°C, gas mark 3) for about 10 minutes. Melt the nougat according to the package instructions and spread it over the rings. Sprinkle with hazelnut pieces. Once the rings have cooled, melt the chocolate coating and spread it over the rings. Once cooled, this is a real treat for nut-nougat fans.
