Nut and Orange Broccoli

The perfect nut and orange broccoli recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 head Fresh broccoli
  • 2 tbsp Almonds or hazelnuts
  • 2 tbsp Pine nuts
  • 1 Orange untreated
  • 50 g Butter
  • 1 tbsp Malt granulate
  1. Divide the broccoli head into florets, peel and dice the stem. Roast 25 g of chopped almonds or hazelnut kernels and 2 tablespoons of pine nuts in a pan without fat. Peel the orange and cut the peel into thin strips. Loosen the pulp from the separating membranes and collect the juice. Cook the broccoli in salted water for 5 minutes on low heat and add the pods 1 minute before the end of the cooking time. Now melt the butter in a pan, add the roasted almonds and pine nuts and the orange fillets – and the juice. Stir in the malt granulate and let it steep for a minute. Drain the broccoli and pour over the nut-orange sauce.
