Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 ml milk
  • 4 tbsp oat flakes
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • some butter
  • some cocoa powder, cinnamon/sugar or jam

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Bring the milk to a boil with a knob of butter and sugar, then add the oats. Turn off the heat and let it swell on the hot stovetop for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour the mixture into a bowl or soup plate and sprinkle with cocoa powder or cinnamon/sugar and/or a dollop of jam in the center. It’s also delicious with a little brown butter. It tastes best warm.
