Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 eggs
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 100 ml white wine
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 150 g cheese (Gruyère – Gruyère), grated
  • 150 g green olives, pitted
  • 100 g hazelnuts, whole kernels
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 150 g ham, raw or cooked, diced
  • Fat for the form

This cake is a popular starter in certain regions of France

In a bowl, beat the eggs thoroughly. Add the oil and white wine and continue beating well. Add the flour, baking powder, cheese, olives, nuts, salt, and diced ham one at a time and mix well. Pour the batter into a greased flatbread dish and bake in a preheated oven at approximately 200°C (convection oven: 180°C) for approximately 35-40 minutes. The cake tastes best served lukewarm with a fresh leaf salad. It can also be served cold.
