Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes
simple – without ham, without cheese
Dissolve the yeast and sugar in lukewarm water. Mix the flour, salt, and onions thoroughly. Add the yeast solution and knead until a smooth dough forms (add a little more flour if the dough is too sticky). Cover and let rise in a warm place for at least 40 minutes. Knead thoroughly again and form an oblong loaf of bread. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, cover, and let rise for about 10 minutes. Then set the oven to 220°C fan/convection oven and wait until the desired temperature is reached. Place the bread on the second rack from the bottom and bake at this temperature for 10 minutes, then reduce the heat to 180°C and bake for another 20 minutes. The bread is ready when it sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom. Then let it cool on a wire rack.
