Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 5 onions
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Salt and pepper, paprika powder
  • 250 ml meat broth
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • ½ bunch parsley
  • 1 tbsp sauce thickener, dark

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Finely slice the onions. Add the onion rings to a pot with water and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Season with pepper and paprika. Deglaze with the meat broth, stir in the ketchup and sour cream, and simmer for about 5 more minutes. Finely chop the parsley. Add the sauce thickener, bring to a boil briefly, stir in the parsley, and season the sauce with salt and pepper. Serve the onion sauce with meat, potatoes, or vegetables.
