Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • ½ liter meat broth
  • 300 ml cream
  • salt and pepper
  • some oil
  • some butter
  • cornstarch if needed
  • little water when needed

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the onions and slice them into thin strips. Sauté them in a little oil with butter until golden brown, then fry gently. The onions should take on some color. Then deglaze with stock and cream and reduce by half. Season with a little salt and pepper. If the sauce tastes too strong like stock, add a little more cream. If the sauce is too thin, thicken it with cornstarch mixed with a little water. Tastes great with meatballs and meat side dishes like schnitzel, etc.
