Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork schnitzels
  • Flour
  • 8 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • oil
  • 300 ml vegetable stock
  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Dust the schnitzels with flour. Cut the onions into eighths. Crush the garlic. Toss the onions and garlic in 2-3 tablespoons of flour mixed with paprika. Fry the schnitzels in hot oil until light brown, remove from the pan, and keep warm. Fry the onions and garlic in the same pan, then pour in the broth. Stir in the crème fraîche, let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, and season with salt and pepper. Before serving, place the schnitzels in the sauce and let it simmer briefly. Serve with mashed potatoes or potato dumplings.
