Onion toast à la Ransomes Way 101

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 slices of toast
  • 1 large red onion, very finely diced
  • 150 g cheese (e.g. Gouda or similar), very fine also with Camembert
  • ½ tomato(s), sliced
  • ¼ bell pepper(s), very finely diced,
  • 100 g sausage (beer ham), sliced
  • Salt
  • Caraway seeds
  • oregano
  • pepper
  • possibly Pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Toast the toast until golden brown and arrange the peppers, ham, onion, and tomato (or hot peppers, if you like). Then top with cheese and bake in the oven at 180°C until the cheese has melted (you can also microwave it if you need to). Finally, season the toast with seasonings to your liking. To drink, I recommend a 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon.
